The gift purchaser also receives the gift redemption code via email, so they can share the gift redemption code with you if you misplace it. If you misplaced or did not receive your gift redemption code, check the spam folder in your email inbox. Contributed gift redemption codes are no longer redeemable. The value of any gift redemption code left unclaimed after one year from the date of issue will be contributed to The New York Times Sponsor a Student Program. During the redemption process, you will be asked to sign in to your New York Times account or create a new account to activate your gift subscription. Your subscription begins as soon as you redeem your gift. Then, follow the prompts to activate your subscription. To redeem a gift code, enter the gift redemption code provided in the gift notification email at /code/redeem. Gift redemption codes are one-time use codes.
